Tinseltots Matinees

Hi there! I just wanted to post info about the tinseltots movies. They're once a month at The Odeon (780 Yates St.) at 1pm. You can see any movie they have playing and it's only $4.50 per adult. It's awesome and I highly recommend it. Here's the dates I have for the coming months:

Just wanted to attach a couple of photos from our last baby group!

I also had a thought regarding one of the activites. I think Tara or Ashley mentioned at the last group it might be nice to know more nursery rhymes. I don't really remember many and thought it might be nice for us each to share one with each other at one of the baby group meetings? I thought maybe we could find one from our different backgrounds - so I would get one from England and maybe Tara could find one from Holland and Eunice one from Quebec and so on?? I thought it could be fun to learn something new/different.

Rupert hasn't get become bored with Wheels on the Bus, which is just as well since that's one of a very few that I know!!

Name Idea & Norwex Party!

Hey everyone!
I was thinking that because all our babies were born in the summer we could call the blog Summerlings... I don't know if it's a great fit for the group though, because the group is supposed to be as much about us as our little ones... but it's a cute name anyways... well I think so of couse, cause I thought of it! Ha!
Thanks to Eunice for the clothing exchange info... haven't had a chance, but plan to go.

Norwex!- So, I'm going to be hosting a Norwex party at my place- 1188 Tattersall Drive, on Sunday October 25th at 6pm. Norwex sells microfiber cleaning rags, tea towels, bath towels, mops, etc- You don't have to use any cleaning products to remove & destroy bacteria. Great for your family, great for the environment. They've been in use in Norwegian hospitals for ten years now and have had a lot of success reducing harmful bacteria as well as harsh chemical cleaners...

Results of Friday Sept 18th Meeting

- Group will meet every 2nd week as per the schedule below, rotating every 6 weeks "a cycle". To be reassessed in January

- At the start of each cycle everyone will pay Tara (treasurer) $6 for the following weeks. This is regardless of attendance so that Mama's day out always has the same amount.

- The Group will be 2 hours long from 1pm to 3pm on Wednesdays

- During the "off weeks" is when we can plan outings and events where only those that wish to participate can.

- We scrapped the food exchange due to fod allergies and dietary restrictions

-We pulled names to find out what order peoples responsibilities are ensuring that those absent were delegated to the later weeks.

- We did not discuss this but I think it would be a good idea if we start out the group with a question about the moms so that we get to know each other as people not just mamas
